Lettuce, turnips, carrots, garlic, strawberries, onions, guavas, whole rice, tomatoes and citrus fruits can serve this purpose. Fruit juices like that of pineapples, oranges, apples and grapes are highly beneficial. The patient should reduce the consumption of rice, or at least, the old variety of rice should be preferred over the new one.
Alcoholic beverages, cold drinks, coffee, tea, flesh foods, fried foods, condiments and products prepared from white flour should be avoided as far as possible. The patient should avoid chlorinated water, fluoridated water and toothpastes containing fluoride, chloride or iodine as fluoride and chlorine have chemical properties similar to that of iodine. Apart from healthy and balanced diet food with adequate amount of iodine, slow exercises such as neck stretches and daily walks are also helpful in curing the disease naturally.

You really sholud talk to your doctor about this. He/she is the best person to advise you, but .Diet pills are a waste of money, don’t work, and some are actually bad for you with nasty side effects. No pill, potion or supplement will help. Please don’t fall for all the spam adverts you see. All you need is a good healthy diet lots of fruit and veg, and exercise. It takes time and motivation:)
I was diagnosed with hoorthyypidism when I was 8 years old 67 years ago and have been on medication to keep my thyroid stable ever since. Once, after a very serious surgery, I forgot to take my pills for a few months and became very tired and somewhat retarded. I couldn’t remember what I’d been doing an hour previously, would hop in the car to grocery shop and a block from home, couldn’t remeber where or why I was going. My phone number even evaded me. As long as I take my thyroid pills, Im fine but if I forget to take them, I’m in trouble. I know when my thyroid is out of balance. So, is this a serious or mundane form of hoorthyypidism?
